Founded in 2009, Advanced Surgical Group is headquartered in Singapore. We are a multinational surgical and endoscopic service company that looks to provide comprehensive and integrated medical care through medicine, surgery and lifestyle changes. Our founder Dr. Peter Goh has more than 40+ years of experience in general, laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. He is especially interested in the field of diabetes reversal.
We operate across four countries: Singapore, Germany, Russia and China. Over the years, we have expanded into the fields of hematology, orthopedics and most recently to telemedicine to serve rural communities in Asia Pacific.

Our Doctors
Dr. Peter Goh received the prestigious President’s Scholarship from President Benjamin Sheares in 1975. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Singapore in 1980 at the top of his class. He became Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1984. He received the Master of Medicine in Surgery in 1985. He then went to the Massachussetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA where he did his higher surgical training.
In 1993 he became Associate Professor in Surgery, Director of the Endoscopy Centre and Chairman of the Minimally Invasive Surgical Centre at the National University Hospital in Singapore. In the year 2000 he was President of the 7th World Congress of Endoscopic Surgery held in Singapore. He then went to Cologne, Germany for 5 years where he was Guest Professor at the Department of Surgery of the University of Cologne at Merheim. Dr. Goh returned to Singapore in 2005 and is now in private practice at Paragon Medical Centre. He is also Professor of Surgery at Monash University, Sunway Campus. He is founder of the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia and has served as both Secretary General and President.
His is presently Director of Advance Surgical Group in Singapore and Chief of Surgery and General Practice at Yosemite Hospitals in Shanghai, China.
In 1992 he performed the first totally laparoscopic Billroth 2 Gastrectomy in the World.
Dr. Goh is well known internationally for his contribution in laparoscopic surgery for stomach, esophagus and colon cancer, robotic surgery and bariatric surgery. He also pioneered needlescopic surgery for sweating disorders. He has over 130 published international scientific papers, 25 book chapters in medical textbooks, written two books on Surgery for type 2 Diabetes and has held leadership positions in many international organizations and medical conferences.
He has received many international awards and honorary membership of surgical societies. He has been invited to operate in 26 countries on 5 continents.
His recent field of interest is Metabolic Surgery for Diabetes Melitus. He was recently awarded by the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia in Saudi Arabia and the Japanese Society of Endoscopic Surgeons for his contribution to this field.
